Is there a minimum age requirement to become a Nation member?
Yes, you must be at least 21 years of age.Why a membership fee??
There are several reasons why we have elected to require a SMALL membership fee.
1. Maintain the sanity and maturity of The Nation by significantly reducing under age participants, fakes, spammers, and just general trouble-makers.
2. Produce a higher active percentage for the benefit of other members and local business subscribers.
3. Provide a unique basis for community-oriented charities and special fund raising groups to use MyLocalPro memberships as a means of raising funds.
4. Provide Gold Members the opportunity to be compensated for their promotional efforts.

4. Many unique features and benefits.How do I purchase or run banner ads on your site?
Banner ads are reserved for our registered Local Businesses and The Nation Gold Members. Designated parties can create banner ads and purchase banner ad space at their home page. Local Business ads will be limited to viewing by members in their defined market, while Gold Member as will be viewed throughout The Nation, regardless of location.How do the Banner ads work?
Local Businesses and Gold Members may initiate, create, purchase, and track banner activity from their Home Page. You purchase banner ads using the “Banner Bucks” feature and you select how much you want to load into your banner account. You only pay for an ad when someone clicks on it!!To create you banner ad, simply click as instructed. Each banner contains your business name, your mylocalpro profile link, and four lines of text. Local Business ads will be limited to viewing by members in their defined market, while Gold Member as will be viewed throughout The Nation, regardless of location.
As part of the ad set up, you will be asked to choose (1) a click through cost and (2) a daily spending limit. We suggest a small click through cost – say $0.10 to begin. As activity increases, you may be prompted to increase you click through amount. All banner ads must be approved by MyLocalPro.com prior to appearance. Once an ad is approved your tracking status will change and you will receive an approval email.Tracking allows you to see your balance, how often your ad has appeared, and how much of your daily limit has been used. As you balance decreases, you will want to reload using the banner bucks button. Once your daily limit has been achieved or your account balance is at $0, your ad will stop appearing.

This program has been designed for Local Business owners who have listed with us, providing an incentive for them to tell friends, work associates, and other folks about our site. All listing businesses are automatically eligible and remain eligible for as long as their listing remains in good standing. They will receive a 20% referral fee for every local business listing and membership that they generate.
SEARCH QUESTIONSWhat are Keywords/Specialties?
Keywords are the words from select fields that have been automatically programmed or selected by the profile owners to identify with their profile. Names are automatically sorted for Local Businesses and The Nation. The owner can change specialties and selected keywords at their discretion. When entering keywords or specialties, use one or two word phrases that users may use to search for your specific service or product. The program sorts by the word. For Local Businesses, keywords are also sorted from chosen category listings and selected specialties by the profile owner. For The Nation Members – Standard membership, keywords will be sorted from hometown, education, and selected personal keywords. For the Gold Members, the keyword fields are expanded to include occupation and selected business keywords.
Why do my results include companies located outside of my town? Search results present companies that have indicated in their set up that they provide service or product to your town. It is not limited to businesses physically located in your town.Do you need to be a member of The Nation to view Local Business Listings?

While you can obtain search results for Nation Members, you are not allowed to view the details of their profiles unless you are a member.What is the “Business” section of the Nation Membership – Gold?
